*HELP US HELP HER FIND A HOME...PLEASE SHARE!!! THIS GIRL HAS BEEN THROUGH HELL* *Watch Millie's video! https://youtu.be/j208jNPcd4w * Sometimes we sit and dwell over the unfathomable darkness that seems to suffocate this world. When we see the atrocious acts of evil that are bestowed upon the most innocent creatures, we can't bear it. We can't bear to see the pain, the affects of the trauma, the horrifying 'after' to a 'before' that was once so pure. We can't bear it. We look at Millie and we can't bear it. Born pure and innocent, some disgusting monster took one gaze at this girl and decided he would ruin her. Physically and ... (Read More)emotionally, he decided he would destroy her. And so he did. Or so he thought. Millie is not ruined. Millie is not broken. Millie has been hit, yelled at, bred mercilessly until her body no longer could bear puppies, she faced hell day in and day out for 10 years. For 10 years Millie was made to believe only a world of pain existed. She was made to believe sure, maybe love was real, but not for her. She was made to believe that she didn't matter, that she was her 'owner's' personal punching bag, a money machine'|Millie was made to believe she did not matter and she was not lovable. But did he ruin her? Maybe he thinks he did. But Millie's fire can't be put out, no matter how much darkness he wrapped her in. We are desperately looking for a home for Millie. A special home, where she can be a loved family dog, not a mother. It is her turn to be somebody's baby. We ask that Millie's adopters do not crate her. She can't bear it, not after all those years of living in one. All she wants is to sleep on the couch and be free in a HOME. She is not destructive. We ask that Millie goes to a quiet home where she can live the rest of her golden years with gentle, loving people. If there is another dog in the home, they will have to meet a few times to get used to each other. It's possible, but will take some time. Millie would prefer to be your one-and-only girl. For once she would love all the attention on her - someone who will make Millie the light of their life, as she will do the same for you. Millie has scars, her legs are bowed, causing a slight limp, she also has a cataract, and has severe blunt-force trauma all over her body, according to the vet. But whoever did this to her, did not ruin her. Millie believes that and we hope you do too. All Millie needs is love, a warm bed, and a few good meals a day. She is currently in boarding in Bethlehem, CT. We are begging for the right family to find this girl and take her home. Please'|she deserves this. Please. If you would like to adopt or foster Millie please email [email protected] and we'd be happy to help (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-04-21-00003Duo!Phoebe & Hercules (female)

Chihuahua    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

PLEASE SHARE PHOEBE & HERCULES so we can find them their happily-ever-after. PHOEBE & HERCULES met recently in their foster home. PHOEBE is 3 years old and fearless! She loves people and children, and is dog & cat friendly (although she can be a bit bossy around big dogs). PHOEBE most likely belonged to someone at one point, but when she was hit by a car, shattering her front right leg, she never received any veterinary care. The leg healed on it's own (albeit poorly), leaving PHOEBE with a little limp. It is not painful, and she gets along just fine. The vet says there is nothing to do now, as it healed long ago. Perhaps one day, later ... (Read More)in life that leg may experience some arthritis, but for now PHOEBE runs, jumps, and dances like a puppy. HERCULES is 4 years old, super sweet and shy. He was rescued from a terrible hoarding situation, and tends to cling to his people (and PHOEBE) for comfort and guidance. HERCULES is great with cats and other dogs. At first we thought that children would scare HERCULES, but it turns out he loves them! PHOEBE & HERCULES do not have to be adopted together, but they have become a bonded pair. HERCULES follows PHOEBE everywhere. He idolizes the ground she walks on, and it has become clear that he is better off with her (or at least another self-confident dog). PHOEBE & HERCULES are fully vetted. Spayed/Neutered, vaccinated, Heartworm & Lyme NEGATIVE. They are ready for their forever home. (Less)
